Tamoxifen Citrate Tablets USP Each tablet contains: Tamoxifen Citrate 20mg

Pharmacological action:

Tamoxifen is an orally taken selective estrogen receptor modulator. Tamoxifen competitively binds to estrogen receptors on tumors and other tissue targets, producing a nuclear complex that decreases DNA synthesis and inhibits estrogen effects.

Indications:

Early and advanced ER+ (estrogen receptor positive) breast cancer in pre- and post-menopausal women. Prevention of breast cancer in women at high risk of developing the disease. Reduction of contralateral cancer.

Contraindications:

In patients with hypersensitivness for this drug, pregnancy and breast-feed, disorder of liver function, in tromboembolic disease or her occurement in the anamnesis.

Side effects:

Most common are hot flushs, bleeding from the colpos, itching of external genitals, gentle sickness, emesia, cerebralgia, retention of watter in the body, edema, erythra, slackness, turnside, pain in the area of tumour, hair loss, increase of the level of liver enzymes, pimelosis of the liver, disable of the bilin to run into the bowel, irritation of the liver.

Dosage:

As administrated and supervised by physician or doctor.
